Earth Day at Lindsay Farm, April 21

The barn (c. 1856) at Lindsay Farm

Enjoy a day of service and learning on Heritage Conservancy's beautiful Lindsay Farm Preserve.

In the morning (10 a.m. to noon), conservancy staff will lead volunteers in restoring a damaged streambank, building kestrel houses, and generally cleaning up this 197-acre property that runs along the Little Neshaminy Creek. Water, snacks and all cleanup equipment will be provided. Bring your own lunch to enjoy on site.

In the afternoon (1 to 3 p.m.), attend an educational bat workshop and build a bat-box to take home with you. Get more information and register online.

In coordination with the first annual Great Pennsylvania Cleanup, Heritage Conservancy is also hosting two other cleanup days on our nature preserves. We will be working at our Pheasant Valley Preserve in Northampton Township, Bucks County from 9 a.m. to noon on April 14 and at our Bellwood Preserve, also in Northampton Township, on April 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. All equipment and light refreshments will be provided. Contact Conservation Biologist Lisa Nowicki lnowicki@heritageconservancy.org or 215-345-7020 x 134 for information about volunteering or to sponsor one of the cleanup days.
