SUMMARY:Butterfly Bonanza
DESCRIPTION:Join Heritage Conservancy for a hands-on afternoon exploring the fascinating world of butterflies. Participants will help catch butterflies as our community scientists\, led by Tyler\, conduct a survey of the species found on our preserve. \nFrom 2:40 to 3:00 PM\, stick around for a monarch tagging demonstration. Tyler will show how researchers tag monarchs as part of a larger community science effort tracking their fall migration\, work that helps scientists understand migration routes\, the influence of weather\, and survival rates along the way. \nThroughout the survey\, enjoy family-friendly butterfly activities suited for naturalists of all ages. \nThis event is a great way to get outside\, learn something new\, and see real conservation science in action. \nRegistration required: $10/family.  Register HERE \nWhen: September 19\, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm\nWhere: Russell-Mandel Preserve\, New Hope \nQuestions about this event?
