SUMMARY:Celebrating 250 Years: Voices of the Revolution Panel Discussion
DESCRIPTION:As communities across the nation commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution\, join Heritage Conservancy for an engaging discussion exploring the many voices and experiences that shaped this pivotal moment in history. \nWhile the Revolutionary War is often remembered through stories of famous leaders and battles\, the conflict was experienced differently by the people who lived through it. This moderated panel discussion will examine the Revolution through multiple perspectives\, including local Bucks County history\, Indigenous experiences\, and the contributions of Black soldiers and civilians. \nThrough historians and other experts\, the program will explore how the war unfolded in our region\, whose stories have traditionally been overlooked\, and how these diverse experiences continue to shape our understanding of the past. \nThe evening will include a moderated discussion followed by an audience question-and-answer session. Refreshments will be provided. \nWhen: Thursday\, July 30\, 2026 · 5:30–7:30 PM\nWhere: Aldie Mansion\, Doylestown\, PA\nFeaturing: Jeff Marshall (Local Historian)\, Jeremy Johnson (Cultural Education Director\, Delaware Tribe of Indians)\, and a Living History Interpreter on Black Revolutionary War history (panelist to be announced)\nModerated by: Laurie Burgess\, former Co-Chair of the Department of Anthropology at the National Museum of Natural History\nAdmission: Members $25\, Non-members $50 (This admission can be placed toward a one-year membership with Heritage Conservancy)\nPresented by: Heritage Conservancy\, as part of America’s 250th anniversary commemoration \nRegister and purchase tickets HERE. \nFor more information or questions\, please contact Emily at ebonavitacola@heritageconservancy.org
