On Sunday, December 8th, brimming with plaid tidings, approximately 180 friends, supporters, and community members joined us for our 36th annual Christmas at Aldie celebration. The event this year, in the theme of plaid and in the new style of a cocktail party, was a heartwarming opportunity to celebrate the mission of Heritage Conservancy. It was an enchanting evening marked by caroling, holiday feasts, shows of support, and talk of our work and mission.
This event caps our busiest fundraising season. In the course of our evening and in the days that have followed, we have surpassed our goal of $125k! Our campaigns, which include Christmas at Aldie and Giving Tuesday, have raised $145k in donations and pledges. This proud achievement could not have been accomplished without our generous supporters. These vital donations will go directly towards our mission of land conservation, historic preservation, and community engagement.
Decorated by checkered ribbons and colorful bows, this year’s theme of ‘Plaid’ was a sight to behold. Our event this year was an exciting change from our usual tradition. In the style of a cocktail party, guests mingled and enjoyed specialty drinks, posed for photos, and helped themselves to our gourmet dinner stations, courtesy of Jeffrey A. Miller Catering Company.
Special thank you to our auction contributors for the remarkable work they shared with the community: Cider Press Woodworks, Jeffrey A. Miller Catering, Jim Lukens, Julia and Mark Klossner, Friends of Washington Crossing Park, Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services, and Barry Rauhauser.
The Central Bucks East Select Choir treated guests to lovely holiday serenades, as everyone enjoyed an incredible evening at Aldie Mansion. Plaid was the style of choice, and could been seen everywhere from cozy scarves to festive decor, marking a unique theme to this year’s festivities.
Alongside the auction, Bill Kunze, Jeff Nicholas, David Oxley, Katie Paone-Kulp, Maria Rieders, and Marv Woodall spoke about the importance of our mission and the value that community-wide support provides for our conservation efforts.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the staff, vendors, volunteers, donors, and guests who helped contribute to a wonderful evening.
