Education and Community Programs
Heritage Conservancy connects almost 5,000 people of all ages with nature each year through outdoor and nature-themed public events, educational programing, teacher training, community science projects, volunteer work, and youth programs.
Outreach and public programs connect students of all ages to the natural world, helping ignite an appreciation for nature and a sense of environmental stewardship in the next generation. Our work with teachers, community groups, and other partners amplifies our impact.

School Programs in Bucks County
Heritage Conservancy’s school programs provide interactive learning opportunities and hands-on experiences.
Students engage in activities on their school grounds, in their classroom, or at one of our local nature preserves. We also offer afterschool programs, virtual learning, and at-home opportunities.
Programs support student learning that aligns with Environmental Literacy and Sustainability Standards and much more.

Environmental Literacy Training for Teachers
In partnership with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, Heritage Conservancy provides professional development and training workshops for teachers and administrators, specifically in support of Environmental Literacy and Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences. Our staff support the new STEELS standards and other Pennsylvania educational initiatives.

Community Programs
Heritage Conservancy hosts a variety of free outdoor and nature-themed events for all ages throughout the region — events meant to connect new audiences with nature.
Through public programs, partnerships, and local relationship building, we work to ensure everyone enjoys access to the natural world around them.
Annual events and free hikes and other nature-related gathering help share diverse perspectives and ensure all people respect nature and feel at home in the outdoors.

Community Partnerships
We partner with local community groups to offer all-ages environmental education and to share resources that help them advocate for access to parks and nature
We also send Heritage Conservancy nature and conservation experts out into the wider community to share information and exhibits at public events and festivals throughout the region.
And we share information, expertise, and resources with local environmental and educations nonprofits.
