COMMUNITY EDUCATION IN BUCKS COUNTY
Our environmental school programs serve about 3,000 local students a year in Bucks County schools, fostering the next generation of advocates for our natural lands. Our community programs reach over 5,000 people annually.
PROTECTING THE REGION’S HISTORIC TREASURES
We are one of only two organizations protecting historic buildings across all of Montgomery County with facade easements. We protect numerous properties in Bucks County too, and our Register of Historic Places recognizes over 700 local treasures that tell the stories of this region.
LOCAL PARTNERS IN CONSERVATION
We partner with Bucks County Community College and Keystone Elementary to host a Motus wildlife tracking tower that feeds data to global conservation scientists and fuels classroom learning. We offer nature explorer backpacks for loans through Lower Bucks libraries.
GROWING LAND CONSERVATION
Heritage Conservancy has protected about 17,000 acres of farmland, forests, and open space across Northampton, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties. We have 34 new projects in the works for a total of 1599 new acres of land we can protect.

“My wife and I have supported the work of this incredible organization for nearly 30 years. I served on the board for 20 of them because I appreciate how they stand out as a land trust with their commitment not only to land conservation, but for historic preservation and environmental education. They are committed to honoring the past and also building a stronger future for our grandchildren and great grandchildren. Every generation benefits from their work throughout our county, and I ask you to join us in helping to keep their vital work growing strong in our community.”
