Want to learn about volunteer opportunities that Heritage Conservancy has to offer? Volunteers support our conservation mission with hands-on work — on our nature preserves, at Aldie Mansion, and elsewhere. Join us to learn about the land and places we protect and how you can get involved.
Aldie Spring Garden Cleanup
April 1 from 9:30 – 3:30 PM at Aldie Mansion (morning and afternoon sessions)
Help prepare the grounds at Aldie Mansion for the upcoming season. We will work to clear out the gardens and get them ready for mulching. Your work aids in the preservation and protection of this historic property and its grounds and helps ready it for seasonal events. Events held at Aldie, including weddings, generate revenue that supports our work in the community!

Supporting Environmental Literacy Across the Curriculum with the MWEE Framework

Get ready for PA’s new STEELS standards! We are partnering with the Bucks County IU for these teacher trainings that offer time in the field and six hours of ACT 48 credit.
Kindness Rocks
April 11, 4 – 5 PM at Keystone Elementary School, Croydon
Transform ordinary rocks into vibrant canvases of joy as we paint uplifting messages and whimsical designs!
Your creations will adorn Croydon Woods, providing a pleasant experience for all to enjoy. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just looking for a delightful activity, this event is perfect for all ages.
Mulch Madness
April 15, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM at Aldie Mansion (morning and afternoon sessions)
Grab your work gloves and join us at Aldie Mansion. With your help, we will spread over 50 yards of mulch throughout Aldie’s beautiful gardens. Mulching the gardens prepares us for the busy spring and summer season. Events held at Aldie, including weddings, generate revenue that supports our work in the community!

Business Partners of Heritage Conservancy are invited to join us for a special gathering to celebrate their continued commitment to support growing land conservation efforts throughout the region.

Spring Ephemerals Hike
April 19 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM at Hart’s Woods
Every spring, a miniature world blooms on the forest floor in the window of warmth and sunlight before the woody giants put out their leaves. Here one season and gone the next, you don’t want to miss them! Join Heritage Conservancy Conservation Easement Steward Sebastian Harris on a hike through Hart’s Woods in Doylestown to identify spring ephemerals.
Spring Carnival
May 16 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Croydon Woods Nature Preserve
Celebrate nature at our Annual Spring Carnival at Croydon Woods in Lower Bucks County. Enjoy refreshments, nature-based games and activities, family fun, and expert-led hikes into beautiful Croydon Woods.
