Since 1958, Heritage Conservancy has worked to protect more than 16,000 acres of the most beautiful and important lands in our region. From forests and stream valleys to meadows and farmlands, each preserved property helps to exemplify the unique character of this region; their permanent conservation supports the quality of life and character of the community.

Conserved lands clean the water we drink and the air we breathe; they are the fields that grow our food and the forests that provide our wood; they provide homes for wildlife, and they are the places of beauty where we go to walk, sit, or listen to the birds or a flowing stream. Access to green space provides vitally important mental and physical benefits while helping to mitigate the harmful effects of climate change.

BUT OUR WORK IS FAR FROM DONE…

With 1,200 acres already in the queue, the number of active land conservation projects continues to grow. Each week we engage new landowners, bringing more conservation opportunities into the project pipeline.

We invite you to join us and aid in the PERMANENT protection of vital open spaces across the region.
