Our Work in Central Bucks County

Heritage Conservancy is based in Doylestown, and much of our programming revolves around our home base at historic Aldie Mansion and our local Russell-Mandel and Jackson Pond Nature Preserves.

Local Partnerships in Bucks County Conservation

We partner with Bucks County Community College to host a Motus wildlife tracking tower that feeds data to global conservation scientists and fuels classroom learning for our next generation of biologists.

Trails, Meadows, and Reforestation in Bucks County

We planted over 500 trees and 15 new acres of pollinator meadow in Central Bucks in 2025 alone, including a new meadow and public walking trail at our Russell-Mandel Nature Preserve near New Hope. We converted a corn field to a 15-acre pollinator meadow at our preserve in Jamison too.

History and Conservation at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown

Aldie combines conservation with historic preservation. We preserve the Mercers’ artistic legacy while maintaining pollinator habitat and native plants on the grounds. The site is one of over 700 local treasures on our Register of Historic Places.
