Community Engagement and Events
Heritage Conservancy hosts a variety of outdoor and nature-themed events for all ages throughout the region — including community nature festivals, guided hikes, family-focused activities, birding expeditions, and volunteer events. Through public programs, partnerships, and local relationship building, we work to ensure everyone feels at home outdoors and enjoys access to the natural world around them.
Community Events
Heritage Conservancy hosts family festivals and public events throughout the year that help connect people in the community with nature, ecology, and local history. From hands-on arts workshops to Lenape storytelling, nighttime glow hikes to nature writing contests, we host events for all ages.
We also send Heritage Conservancy nature and conservation experts to share information and exhibits at community events and festivals throughout Bucks County and beyond.

Community Science
Heritage Conservancy runs a robust community science program that leverages staff expertise, local scientists, and volunteers to collect data on local wildlife populations and biodiversity. Community science (also known as citizen science) is a vital way to help understand, document, and protect natural resources. Our efforts include bat counts, wildlife tracking in intensive BioBlitz events, monitoring wildlife migration with the installation of Motus wildlife tracking towers, and more.
Public Access to Nature
We believe strongly that everybody has a place in nature, all people deserve access to trails, and environmental education should be available to everyone. We maintain public nature preserves throughout Bucks County, collaborate with diverse community organizations, and host inclusive events like our ESL hikes.
Heritage Conservancy creates opportunities across the region, including programs and educational outreach for residents of more urban and densely populated sections of Bucks County: hosting camp programs, nature clubs, and outdoor curriculum with local schools.
