One of our primary goals for 2022 is to get more people outside to explore the region’s open spaces. Heritage Conservancy has five Ambassador Properties with public accessibility to encourage members of our community to explore the land that we proudly work to protect. On your next nature adventure, be sure to capture the moment and tag Heritage Conservancy in your picture for the chance to be re-posted on our social media accounts.
(*Each property has its own accessibility regulations, which can be read HERE.)
While it brings us pleasure to share the successes we have had over the past year, we are always looking for ways to accomplish more. We asked Chairman of the Board, Stephen Phillips, where he would like to see the Conservancy in the new year and thereafter.
He responded, “We need to build our endowment to facilitate even more land preservation now that public funding is less available and to ensure our future ability to monitor and defend the easements we hold in perpetuity. We have already made great strides and have benefitted from generous support from our community.”
In 2022, we plan to continue outreach and fundraising to work towards this vital goal and appreciate all the support we already receive.
Our staff is already busy working on projects for the new year! Our goal is to protect another 300+ acres of open spaces, farmland, and wildlife habitats by 2023. Stay tuned for our progress in protecting the land that defines our region and connects our community.
