Our Work in Montgomery County
Heritage Conservancy works in Montgomery County to permanently protect historic structures, family farms, natural lands, and open spaces that contribute to the health and beauty of the region.
Growing Land Conservation Work in Montgomery County
We have helped protect over 200 acres of natural land, scenic views, and open space in Montgomery County — land that is permanently protected by conservation easements. And our work is growing in this county! We have projects in our pipeline that could increase our total by 30% or more in the coming years.
New Public Park Land in Western Montgomery County
We are currently working with a municipality in western Montgomery County to help transfer 76 acres of donated natural land to be used for public access and recreation, while ensuring it will be protected for future generations.
Preservation Efforts in Plymouth Meeting
We are working on a 20-year plan to help with the long-term protection of Dickinson Farmstead — an important part of local Quaker history that dates back to William Penn. Its historic houses and stone farm buildings are a vital part of the historical context of Plymouth Meeting.
Vital Historic Preservation Work in Montgomery County
Our work in Montgomery County is especially important as Heritage Conservancy is one of only two remaining organizations protecting historic buildings across the entire county. Our facade easements legally protect historic structures, alongside the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.
